Baby Food and Nappies on Holiday in Turkey

Baby Food and Nappies in all kinds can be found in every corner of Turkey, this includes other major baby and toddler products too. If this sentence is not good enough for you then I suggest you carry on reading.

Some parents bottle feed their baby, so they would like to know if a particular brand they are using available abroad.

You need to bare in mind that not every baby milk brand is available in every part of the globe. This is same with Turkey.

Although there are really well known quality baby milk or food brands easy to find in Turkey you may not find the one you are using back at home.

If you are really fussy and believe it is not a good idea to change your babies milk during holiday then the best think to do is that you take extra additional amount with you to Turkey.

Nappies, Sensitive Baby wipes, Sudocream, Baby Milk Powder, Baby Food in Jar, list can go on and on. They are all available in Turkey. You can purchase baby products from a pharmacy or from any supermarket.

In holiday areas such as Marmaris, Sarigerme, Dalyan, Kusadasi, Antalya even smaller shops are selling necessary baby products knowing that tourist do need them.

In more bigger holiday towns and cities such Istanbul and Antalya you can find them only in Supermarkets and pharmacy.

Airports can be very limited and if you are lucky then can be a ridiculously expensive.

If your child suffers from a colic or gluten intolerance and you need to use a specific brand, this can be a bit tricky as changing your babies food can cause sleeples nights for both you and your baby.

For example if you use Infacol to relieve wind, infant colic and gripping pain you can take extra few bottles with you, however you may find such product under different names in pharmacies.

When it comes to a specific baby food such as Aptamil Pepti 1 for the dietary management, then this is a completly different matter as there are maybe same product under different name, but by the time you managed to find the right one your baby would suffer. Therefore I would suggest that you take extra amount with you just to be on the safe side.

However, best thing to do is to seek professional medical advice from your GP.

Regards to ordenary Baby Milk or powder and Baby Food in Jar there is no shortage of them as they do come under different names and brands but most of them are trustworthy known brandnames within the europe in general such as Ulker, Milupa, Aptamil, Similac, Bebelac, Pediasure, SMA and so on.

Nappies do also come under different brand names, amongst those are most prefered by the turkish parents are Canbebe, Huggies, Prima . These brands and others can be found in most supermarkets. Usually there is a clear discreption on the package for age suitability.

You do not need to worry about finding Nappies, Baby Food in Jar or in Powder no matter where abouts you are in Turkey (obviously not in rural, excluded areas).

Useful word : Bebek Mamasi - Baby Food

During the Flight : If possible arrange your babies feeding time during the flight hours. Especialy whilst take off and before landing make sure you give your baby something to suck either milk or soothers as this will help to reduce the pressure on their ears which can be painfull for your baby.
