TRANSPORTATION DATCA

Despite the upto 4 hour journey from Dalaman Airport through Marmaris to Datca town, the trip can be rather pleasant as there are many nice places, one can have regular stops for refreshments and breaks.

Road to Datca from marmaris untill recently was a disaster to travel on, however after contunious road construction it has eventually become a nice route to be on.

The Main Bus Station is within Datca Town where buses arrive from Istanbul, Izmir and Ankara as well as from Marmaris which is the nearest Town.

If you wish to travel out of the Datca Peninsula further then Marmaris, then you need to use this bus station.

Every Hour Buses leaving from Marmaris Bus Station to Datca takes them just over an hour to reach Datca Town. These Buses are usullay up to date ,modern vehicles with Aircondition and it is comfortable to travel such short distances.

However, depending on the Bus, they may take a detour around some villages this obviously delay your arrival a little.

If you are in to photograpy, nature admirer or a romantic, then you might like to consider a hire car so you can stop at view points as the entire Peninsula is an area of great natural beauty which you would not want to miss out.
